Stylized Steampunk Shoot - March 5, 2016

In February I started to feel photography withdrawal as winter is always a slower time of year for photo shoots!  Originally I was thinking something "winter wonderland" themed however our winter was so mild that didn't seem to fit.  I remember hearing about steampunk last year and started to look into it a little more and decided that was the way I would go.  So I found some models and started looking for costumes.  Just a few short weeks later the shoot was ready.  I called in my fellow photographer friend Fiona from Photos by Fiona to come out and join in the fun. Be sure to take a look at her Facebook page to see the pictures she captured from the shoot.  Her page is www.facebook.com/photosbyfiona.  A big thank you to my models Bryan & Starr.  You guys did great!

Hair & Make Up for the photoshoot was done by myself.  My make up portfolio can be found at www.facebook.com/jasminemacleanmakeup.

Believe it or not the guns in the shoot were plastic dollar store guns that I painted gold and copper.  The goggles were welding goggles from Canadian Tire that I spray painted gold.  I had a lot of fun doing this shoot and I hope you enjoy the photos.

Kayla & Travis - Ponoka Wedding

The day started out with a drizzle of rain and poor Kayla was so worried that her beautiful outdoor wedding wouldn't go as planned, but after a few brief drops the weather smartened up and the show went on!

This wedding was such a beautiful do it yourself wedding held in Ponoka, Alberta
at the bride's parents house.  From cute little lanterns, to bales of hay for the guests it made for a beautiful ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed to a beautiful acreage to do the wedding formals.  The acreage even came with live chickens running around, it was great!!

Congratulations Kayla & Travis, I wish you many years of happiness. <3

Chelsea & Lee Engaged!!

I had the pleasure of photographing Chelsea & Lee's second engagement shoot at "All About the Setting" in Innisfail, AB.  The love these two have for each other truly shines through.  It was such a fun photoshoot.  I can't wait to photograph their winter wedding!

The Beautiful Miss C

This was my first "Outdoor Beauty/Boudoir" Photo Shoot.  A big thank you to my Model Miss C. Make-up was also done by myself (Jasmine MacLean Make-Up).  There are a few other great ones that I can't post as they are a surprise for someone special.  ;)

Becky & Nathan Married

Well everyone, this is my very first blog, so don't judge me too much :)

On June 14, 2014 these two love birds tied the knot.  The morning started out with hair and make up and the traditional getting ready.  For this part I was the make up artist but I still managed to take a few shots:

They had two gorgeous locations to shoot their formals at.  The first location was at Becky's mother's house, she had a stunning garden and brilliant landscaping and a beautiful forest behind.

The second location was at Becky's cousin's acreage, a beautiful river and some great old farm equipment and cars.

The bride and groom were a little non-traditional and had all their family and formal photos before the ceremony.  The ceremony and reception were set up with a rustic and "woody" theme.  Very suitable as the bride and groom like the outdoors and Nathan is an avid hunter.

All in all a very beautiful day!!  I'll leave you with a ring shot and a not so traditional shot of the brides "shoes"!!  Congratulations Becky & Nathan, may you have many happy and blessed years ahead of you.
